He studied electrical engineering, and his special field during his studies was communication techno logy. He has been practicing as a German and European patent attorney doing patent, trademark and design prosecution, litigation and licensing.
He has industrial practice in the fields of laser- and telecommunication technology, software protection, employee's compensation for inventions, electrical engineering, precision mechanics, electronics, and electro-medicine. In private practice, he has special expertise with semi-conductors, micro- and nanoprocessors, micro-mechanics, information technology (IT), software and information processing and communication engineering.
He is a member of the Institute of Patent Attorneys admitted at the European Patent Office (epi), admitted representative before the European Office for Harmonization for Trademarks, Designs and Models of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, member of the Chamber of German Patent Attorneys, the International Association of Industrial Property Attorneys (FICPI), the Committee for Patent Law of the German Industry, the Association of Experts of Intellectual Property (VPP), former member of the Licensing Committee and the Special Committee for Intellectual Property of the Federal Association of German Industry.
